Our kitchen listens to the land first before it creates. Each dish begins with what the land offers: a harvest, a ripening, a cut. Our Chianina beef, wild game, and white truffle come directly from our Fattoria Barbialla in Montaione, where our animals are raised organically and respectfully in the heart of Tuscany. The extra virgin olive oil we use is pressed from our own olive groves. The herbs and edible flowers that finish your plate are grown just steps away, in our own nursery.
Book a table in our restaurant, or contact us for bigger groups or events. We can accommodate your group in our ‘limonaio’ for a more intimate setting.
The Le Lune kitchen is guided by the rhythms of the seasons, not the trends of fine dining. Our cuisine speaks of care and intuition. Technique serves the ingredient, not the other way around. We don’t impose on the ingredient, we accompany and reveal. We prepare and cook with simple gestures that require listening and concentration. The real technique, for us, is not to alter the starting quality. It is a work of subtraction, not endless addition. You may find that the menu changes daily, because the landscape does too.
We leave space for truth on the plate. Simplicity is strength.
The wines you find on our wine menu are not from the usual big wine houses you find everywhere. We focus on smaller, Tuscan winemakers who produce incredible quality and our wine menu is a wonderful journey through the different regions and climates of Tuscany.
